In this dining room design, I tried to pair old and new furniture and decor pieces in a complimentary way. I was inspired by mid-century and french country home style. The dining table and the dining storage cabinet are both more worn in and rustic looking. I paired them with a French provincial inspired hutch. The dining chairs register as mid century modern in my opinion. I like the combination of the wood & green chairs with the brown toned chairs. Mix and matching dining chairs is a great way to add some visual interest into a dining space.
On the dining hutch I styled a matching pair of Jamayka metal table lamps. In between them is a gorgeous tortoiseshell glass cocktail set that I am definitely going to be ordering for my own home. The main star of the show is the rug for me. When I saw this rug online I was immediately obsessed. I love the blue, green, and yellow tones. It is just so fun and bright but I like the more traditional pattern that makes this rug feel timeless.
